Rewriting Your Script Runs In Weymouth September 2019

Struggling with your mental wellbeing? Stuck in an ever-swirling washing-machine head? Can’t find your way out of the maze?</h2
Rewriting Your Script is a transformative creative writing programme offering  you innovative and effective analytical tools to improve your mental wellbeing.

Next running at Weymouth Library in conjunction with the Dorset Libraries as Cultural Hubs project funded by Arts Council England.

During 12 x 3-hour weekly sessions you will be guided by the programme’s tutor Chris Jury, to write a script for a short film or short play. This  creative process gives you the emotional distance to safely explore and test some of the ideas, assumptions and expectations that underpin your mental wellbeing.

The programme starts at Weymouth Library, Great George Street, Weymouth, DT4 8NN View Map, on Tuesday 24th September and runs from 10.00-13.00 every Tuesday for 12 weeks.

What’s Your Story Three Times Oversubscribed!

We launched an appeal back in October seeking support to help fund a second pilot of the What’s Your Story? mental wellbeing programme running in Leamington Spa in January.

We seem to have really connected with this programme and were a little surprised to find ourselves massively oversubscribed and with less than half the places we needed for everyone who wanted to attend.

However, I am delighted to say that with the help of Springfield Mind and the WEA  we are now running the programme in Leamington Spa concurrently three times in the new year.

The Springfield Mind sessionsare free and run on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings but both of these sessions are now fully booked.

The WEA  version runs on Monday evenings from 18.00-21.00 and costs £14.50 per week and is slightly more focused on the teaching of script writing skills. There are still places available for this version.

To run the programme three times instead of one means that some of our costs have tripled and even with the grants and donations we have raised so far we will be running at a significant loss.

Which is where you come in! We are committed to running the programme three times come what may but any donations you give will help reduce our loss and enable us to start to roll the programme out across the UK.

If you are able to help you can do so on our Go Fund Mepage.

Or via BACS to Acc: 65127633 Sort Code: 53-61-3.

All the best and in anticipation… thanks for your donation!
